Industrial prices in Ukraine 2.5% up in April, says Statistics Service
Industrial prices in Ukraine were up by 2.5% in April, and in general since the beginning of the year the growth was 3.4%, the State Statistics Service said on Tuesday.
According to the service, this increase was mainly caused by the rise in the prices of metal ores by 19.2% and electricity by 9.3%.
At the same time, the service noted that in April last year the rise in prices reached 3.7%, therefore in annual terms wholesale prices were down by 1%.
The service noted that in January this year industrial prices rose by 0.3%, in February they fell by 1.6%,, and in March they rose by 2.2%.
