The newly appointed Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Ukraine, Pavel Vizdal, handed copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis on July 5.

"The partners confirmed their interest in the comprehensive development of relations between Slovakia and Ukraine. The Ambassador of Slovakia informed about the assistance provided to Ukraine by the Slovak Republic and reaffirmed Slovakia's support for Ukraine's accession to the EU," the embassy said on Facebook.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the participants of the meeting paid particular attention to preparations for a visit by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini to Ukraine, as well as holding a new meeting of the Ukrainian-Slovak Joint Commission on Economic, Industrial, Science and Technology Cooperation.

"The parties discussed the key tasks for the implementation of agreements reached at the higher political and governmental levels, as well as ways of implementing the Peace Formula of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy," it said.

Perebyinis wished Vizdal success on his new position and expressed hope for further consolidation and deepening of Ukrainian-Slovak cooperation in the fields of mutual interest.
