Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Rostyslav Karandeyev believes that the monitoring of information in domestic media by the authorities is necessary for the proper formation of information policy.

"In order to form an information policy in the right way, we must analyze the reaction of society to certain government decisions, to the position of politicians, to the position of authorities. These tasks are also provided for in our strategy of countering disinformation spread by the aggressor state. In any circumstances, there should be monitoring," Karandeyev said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, this monitoring is carried out for the authorities, the President’s Office, the Cabinet of Ministers, and other ministries, in particular, for the Ministry of Culture.

"This is the right job, it should be," Karandeyev stressed.

As reported, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy instructed the state enterprise Center for the Protection of the Information Space of Ukraine to prepare and conduct an event to monitor information in domestic media in 2024.
