MP Mosiychuk remains in serious condition

Parliament member from the Radical Party Ihor Mosiychuk, who was injured as a result of the terrorist attack on Thursday evening, is in a serious condition in the Borys hospital, but is conscious, head of the in-patient department of the clinic, Ihor Konyvets, has said.

Answering the journalists' question about the condition of Ihor Mosiychuk, he replied: "His condition is serious. The condition is characterized by the first day of the postoperative period."

"There was an operation last night which lasted up to 3 a.m., because there was a lot of shrapnel that we removed. And now the patient is in the intensive care ward. The condition is serious. It's still early to talk about moderately grave condition, but one can communicate with him," Konyvets said on Thursday.

At the same time, the doctor of the hospital, where the victim of the same terrorist attack, political scientist Vitaliy Bala, is being treated, but has asked media report details about his state of health.

As reported, two people were killed and three more, including Radical Party MP Ihor Mosiychuk and political analyst Bala, were injured in an explosion outside the building of the Espreso TV channel late on October 25. Both of them were hospitalized and underwent surgery. Those who were killed are two police officers - Mosiychuk's security guard, Ruslan Kushnir, who died on his way to hospital, and local resident Mykhailo Mormel.

The explosion was qualified as a terrorist attack. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is overseeing the investigation.
