Ukraine's third President Viktor Yuschenko (2005-2010) has said he believes that a nationwide dialogue will help find a way out of the current internal political crisis in the country.

"Anyone who wishes Ukrainian people peace and mutual understanding should work on one thing - to organize as soon as possible a national table, round or square, and a national dialogue on dozens of issues that make us not opposites, but [just] different in Ukraine," he said at an international roundtable meeting entitled "The Democratic Process and the Threats of Radicalism in Ukraine" in the Ukrainian parliament on Monday.

He added that 70% of Ukrainians support EU integration and that this is why people protested peacefully.

In general, according to Yuschenko, the problem of crisis is geopolitical in nature.

"Two continental European policies are currently playing out the Ukrainian map. One is the policy of European democracy and European integration, and the second is Moscow's policy," he said.
