Yanukovych orders government to agree national action plan for 2013 with regional governors, says presidential chief of staff

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to agree with the heads of regional state administrations a national action plan for the program of social and economic development for 2013, head of the presidential administration Serhiy Liovochkin said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.

The president put First Vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov in charge of this work. The first vice prime minister and the vice prime minister for regional development are to meet with regional governors. Arbuzov is to analyze and summarize the proposals of local authorities and report on the work done.

"At the next meeting of the Committee on Economic Reforms, the president will hear proposals from the government and the heads of regional state administrations and approve the action plan drafted by the government. The president will demand the plan should be thoroughly implemented both at central and local levels," Liovochkin said.
