Ukraine to announce tender for 4G in 2,600 MHz range in early Nov

 The National Commission for Communications Regulation (NCCR) intends in early November 2017 to announce a tender to obtain licenses for providing 4G communications services in the 2,600 MHz range.

According to a report on the regulator's website, the decision to conduct conversion and issue licenses on a competitive or tender basis was made at a meeting on October 17.

"This decision was made in connection with the statement of MMDS-Ukraine LLC about the intention to release radio frequency bands determined for the introduction of new technology," the report said.

In addition, the subject of conversion, namely MMDS-Ukraine, has been determined and the timing of conversion activities: the beginning-the second quarter of 2017, while the end - not later than one month from the date of financing the cost of conversion by its initiators.
