Mariya Nizhnik
Mariya Nizhnik was born on 24 March 1979 in Makiyivka. In 2001, she graduated from the Donetsk National University. Also, she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (LLM), King’s College London (PG Diploma - EU Competition Law). In 2005, she joined Vasil Kisil & Partners Law Firm, later, became a partner of the antitrust practice group. In 2014 - 2015, partner, head of the antitrust practice team at Aequo Law Firm. In 2015 - 2019, the First Deputy Chairlady of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
Mariya is an expert in the area of antitrust and competition law. She has a vast experience in advising national and international clients on private and/or government sector on competition matters. She has deep knowledge of the EU competition law which allows her to efficiently work with clients from the EU and understand their needs. Mariya contributed to the development of a number of regulations, guidelines of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
