Vadym Gryb

The Chairman of the Board of Directors and a founder of TEKT Investment Company, PhD in Economics

Vadym Gryb has more than 20 years’ experience of trading in various financial instruments on the Ukrainian capital market as well as in the area of M&A, investment management, corporate governance, strategic management, investments, and property management.

Prior to establishing TEKT Investment Company, Vadym Gryb had served in the Soviet Armed Forces for about 13 years and retired from the army in the rank of captain in 1990, following which he held the office of lead economist with AvtoVAZbudindustriia PA. In 1995, he founded TEKT Investment Company. Under his management, the company ranked among the best players of the capital market from 2003 to 2008, and completed more than 120 M&A transactions in FMCG, pharmaceutical, real estate, and other sectors. In 2005, he held the office of the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea; from 2010 to 2012 he acted as an advisor to the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine; in 2012, he chaired the group of advisors to the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, and was an advisor to the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine from 2015 to 2016. When holding various public offices, Vadym Gryb was responsible for the activities of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, the Tax Service, and the Antimonopoly Committee of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, supervised the analytics department of the Security Service of Ukraine, and was responsible for an analysis and development of proposals in connection with various matters relative to economy and deregulation. In March 2013, he was elected as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TEKT Group, and has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TEKT Investment Company since 2015.

Vadym Gryb graduated from the Tolyatti Higher Military Construction - Command School (1982), he is an army officer holding a special military degree, has an engineering degree in the construction and maintenance of buildings and structures, completed a course of the Marxism-Leninism University (1989), and has a degree in capital markets from the Professor Alekhin School Volzhsky Business Academy (1997) and he is a security market specialist. In 2000, he received a PhD in Economics from the Donetsk State University for his candidate’s thesis on Mathematical Modeling in Economics.
