Vorskla beats Qarabag in hosts' field, gets first victory in group stage of UEFA Europa League
FC Vorskla (Poltava) has beaten the Azeri FC Qarabag in the hosts' field with a score of 1:0 as part of the Round 3 game in the group stage of UEFA Europa League.
The only goal in the game was shot by Vorskla's halfback Vladyslav Kulach in the 48th minute.
Before that, FC Vorskla lost the games to FC Arsenal in the hosts' field with a score 2:4 and to FC Sporting in their own field with a score of 1:2.
In another match of Group E, FC Arsenal beat FC Sporting in the hosts' field with a score of 1:0.
As a result of three rounds, FC Arsenal has received nine points, FC Sporting has got six, FC Vorskla can boast three, and FC Qarabag has got none.
It is the second time for FC Vorskla to have participated in the group stage of UEFA Europa League. The first time for the team was in the 2011-2012 season. The victory over FC Qarabag is the first one for the Poltava football team in this tournament.
