UEFA to decide on Sept 27 on behavior of fans at Czech Republic-Ukraine match
The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has opened disciplinary proceedings due to the behavior of fans and other incidents at a Nations League match between the Czech Republic and Ukraine on September 6 and will take a decision on September 27, according to UEFA's official website.
The Ukrainian side can be punished for setting off of fireworks by fans, throwing of objects, field invasions by supporters, acts of damages, and crowd disturbances.
The Czech side is charged with late kick-off, field invasions by supporters, insufficient organization (lack of stewards), and stairways blocked.
As reported, after the match in the Czech Republic on September 6, eight Ukrainian fans were detained by the Czech police for violation of order at the stadium. They were released after the negotiations, which lasted several hours, with the assistance of President of the Ukrainian Football Federation Andriy Pavelko. They were also helped to pay a fine.
