Mariupol defeats Sweden's Djurgarden in Europa League
KYIV. Aug 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – FC Mariupol defeated Sweden's Djurgarden 2-1 in the second leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League and advanced to the next qualifying round of the tournament.
The match was played at the Chornomorets stadium in Odesa on August 2.
Mariupol's Oleksandr Pikhalyonok scored in the 63rd minute, but Aliou Badji equalized in the 77th minute.
In extra time Mariupol striker Ruslan Fomin led the Ukrainian team to victory by scoring from the penalty spot in the 97th minute.
The first match between these teams a week ago in Sweden ended in a 1-1 draw.
