Poroshenko congratulates Ukrainian national team on biathlon with victory at European Championship

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has congratulated the national team of Ukraine on the victory over the national teams of the Russian Federation and Norway at the European Biathlon Championship.

"I congratulate the Ukrainian national team on winning the gold medal in the mixed relay at the European Biathlon Championship. And I am proud of our biathletes who got the victory for our country, bypassing the teams of Russia and Norway," he wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday evening.

The Ukrainian team won the European Biathlon Championship in Ridanna, Italy, where a mixed relay took place yesterday.

The Ukrainian team included Yulia Zhuravok, Iryna Varvynets, Artem Pryma and Dmytro Pidruchny.
