Olha Kharlan becomes world champion in saber fencing
Ukrainian fencer Olha Kharlan has won the world championship in saber fencing in Leipzig (Germany).
In the final duel Kharlan defeated the representative of Tunisia Azza Besbes with a score of 15: 5.
Thus, Kharlan became a three-time world champion in saber fencing.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko congratulated the Ukrainian sportswoman on her victory.
"Our Olha Kharlan is a world champion in saber fencing. We sincerely congratulate you on your brilliant victory!" the president said on his official Facebook page.
