Dynamo Kyiv kicks off in Champions League with defeat to Napoli
Ukraine's Dynamo Kyiv was defeated by Italy's Napoli in the first match of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League group stage at Kyiv's Olimpiyskyi stadium on September 13.
The score was 1-2.
The counting was opened by Denys Garmash at the 26th minute of the game, but 10 minutes later Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik leveled the score and then he made Napoli lead at the end of the first half.
There were no goals in the second half. From the 68th minute, Dynamo was reduced to 10 men following a second yellow card for Serhiy Sydorchuk for simulation.
Another match of this group between Turkey's Besiktas and Portugal's Benfica in Lisbon was a 1:1 draw.
Thus, after the first round in Group B, Napoli has 3 points, Benfica and Besiktas have one each, and Dynamo Kyiv has zero points, so far.
