Ukraine's Ushenina becomes European chess champion
Hanna Ushenina from Kharkiv has won gold in European Women's Chess Championship 2016 in the Romanian city of Mamaia.
Ushenina has become the new European chess champion among women according to the report released on the page of the European Chess Union in the social network Facebook on Tuesday. Sabrina Vega Gutierrez from Spain took silver, bronze went to Antoaneta Stefanova from Bulgaria.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko congratulated the Ukrainian champion on his social networks accounts: "Ukraine's Hanna Ushenina has become chess champion of Europe! We're glad for her with all our hearts and congratulate her on the victory!"
