Ukrainian national team hit top 20 teams in FIFA world rankings
Ukraine's national football team has risen to 19th place in the FIFA rankings, the official FIFA website said on Thursday.
During the month the Ukrainian squad improved its position by three points.
Germany, the first rival of the Ukrainian national team at Euro 2016, has risen from the fifth to the fourth place. Northern Ireland, Ukraine's second rival in the group stage of the tournament, has risen from the 26th to 25th place. Poland, another future rival of Mykhailo Fomenko's team, has remained on the 27th place.
Argentina is still leading in the ranking. Belgium is left on the second place. Columbia rose to the third line. Chile is last in the top five. They are followed by Spain, Brazil, Portugal, Uruguay and Austria, which pushed England out of the top ten.
Italy is on the 12th place, the Netherlands - on the 14th, Switzerland - on the 15th, the host of Euro 2016 - France – on the 17th, the 18th place goes to the team of Turkey.
The Russian national team has dropped two places and is currently 29th in the ranking.
