Ukraine has beaten Macedonia 2:0 to remain in contention for automatic qualification with one game remaining in their Euro 2016 qualification.
Macedonia would frustrate Ukraine until the 58th minute when the referee awarded the visitors a penalty. The subsequent penalty was converted by Yevhen Selezniov.
The second goal for Ukraine came late in the 87th minute. Following a well executed counter attack, substitute Artem Kravets utilized his pace to outmaneuver Milovan Petrovic and then showed good finishing skills to send a shot to the back of the net.
Meanwhile, Spain will challenge for an unprecedented third straight European Championship triumph after securing their place at Euro 2016 with a game to spare, thanks to a 4:0 qualifying victory at home to the Group C minnows, Luxembourg.
Slovakia lost 1:0 at home to Belarus, while Ukraine, who hosted Spain in Kyiv on Monday, is the third – also on 19 points after they won 2:0 away to Macedonia.
In the final tour Ukraine will host Spain on its field, and Slovakia will play the road game with Luxembourg.
