Ukraine comes 27th in FIFA world rankings, ahead of Russia
Ukraine's national football team has moved up eight places to 27th in the latest FIFA world rankings and has overtaken Russia.
Winners of the 2014 World Cup Germany have dropped to second place with Argentina occupying first place. Belgium, Colombia and Netherlands made the top five, while Spain and Uruguay have both dropped out of the top 10.
Brazil is ranked sixth, followed by Portugal, Romania, England, Wales and the 2015 Copa America champions Chile.
Ukraine is now ahead of Russia, Poland and the U.S., after a solid year including victories in friendlies against Moldova and Georgia and draws against Latvia and Lithuania.
