Shakhtar to play in Champions League, Dnipro – in Europa League
Shakhtar Donetsk will represent Ukraine in the next season of the UEFA Champions League and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk will play in the Europa League.
At the end of the 26th Ukrainian Premier League season Shakhtar tied with Karpaty Lviv at 2-2, and Dnipro tied with Hoverla at 0-0.
Shakhtar came second in the league with 56 points, Dnipro came third place with 54 points.
As reported, Dynamo Kyiv had already won the league.
Next season, both Dynamo and Shakhtar will play in UEFA Champions League. Dynamo will start in the group stage, Shakhtar – in the third qualification round. Ukraine will be represented by Dnipro, Zoria Luhansk and Vorskla Poltava in Europa League.
