Serhiy Bubka was reelected as the president of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Ukraine on Tuesday for the third consecutive four-year term.
As a sole candidate for the position, Bubka received 108 votes in favor, one against at the 29th General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee in Kyiv, the NOC reported on its Web site.
Bubka is an Olympic champion and record-breaker in pole vaulting. He has headed the National Olympic Committee since 2005. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee and the vice president of the International Association of Athletics Federations.
