Shakhtar Donetsk defeated CSKA Moscow 2-1 in the final round of the Joint Super Cup of four Ukrainian and Russian clubs, which was held in Israel.
CSKA's Serbian midfielder Zoran Tosic scored the opener in the eighth minute. Shakhtar equalized at the end of the first half after a free kick by Darijo Srna, and three minutes later Brazilian Taison made it 2-1.
Thus, Shakhtar won all of the three matches at the tournament, collecting nine points. Metalist Kharkiv scored four points, Zenit collected three points, and CSKA has only one point.
During the matches between the Ukrainian and Russian clubs the overwhelming advantage was on the side of Shakhtar and Metalist. Shakhtar beat Zenit and CSKA, whereas Metalist defeated Zenit and played out a draw with CSKA, losing only on penalties.
