Ukraine has unveiled the logo of the EuroBasket 2015 European Basketball Championship on the last day of the continental championship in Slovenia.
"Following a competition between several international agencies, including four Ukrainian, the EuroBasket 2015 logo has been developed by Brandia Central, a brand consulting company based in Lisbon… The agency conducted a serious study of ancient Ukrainian symbols, traditions, culture and art and gave it a new interpretation based on the latest trends in brand design. Portuguese designers felt the depth of Ukrainian traditions and were able to present it in a modern interpretation, closely combining basketball with traditional Ukrainian dances - hopak and arkan," the director of the EuroBasket 2015 tournament, Markiyan Lubkivsky, said at a press conference in Ljubljana on Sunday, during which the visual image of the next European basketball championship was presented.
He noted that Brandia had also developed the logo for UEFA EURO 2012 and the 2013 U16 European Championship Men in Ukraine.
