HC Donbass again becomes Ukraine's ice hockey champion
Donetsk-based Hockey Club Donbass has become the champion of Ukraine for the third time in a row.
In the final series, Donbass-2 crashed Kyiv's Hockey Club Kompanion-Naftogaz 4-0.
Hockey Club Donbass was founded in 2005. Following the 2010–2011 season, Donbass split into two teams. Donbass-2 represents the club in the Professional Hockey League of Ukraine.
Donbass-2 won the Ukrainian Hockey Championship in 2011 and 2012. Donbass-1 is member of the Kontinental Hockey League, the professional ice hockey league in Eurasia, and is the sole representative from Ukraine competing at the elite international level.
