Yanukovych: Ukraine starting active preparations for EuroBasket 2015

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said that the state has started active preparations to host European Basketball Championship among men's teams in Ukraine in 2015.

"Tomorrow an organization committee on preparing for and holding the European Basketball Championship 2015 [I decided to head it] will start its work," he told in Kyiv on Thursday during the meeting with leadership, training staff and players of Donbas hockey club.

Yanukovych said that at the sitting of the organizing committee will be announced a start of the preparation of basketball infrastructure to host the championship.

"Sport arenas and constructions that will create the conditions for hosting the championship will be built," the head of state said.
