The Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) has become partners with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine to implement a social project entitled "Young Football Volunteers" in Mykolaiv, Kherson regions, and Crimea.
"The key idea of the Young Football Volunteers project is the use of football as a tool for development of young people in regions, creation and assistance to implementation of volunteer projects at the local level, organization and intensification of unofficial educational projects aimed at improvement of the nation's health," reads a statement made by the FFU on Wednesday.
It is planned to involve around 4,000 young people per year in the project that will be implemented until the end of 2015.
The agreement was achieved during a meeting of Ricarda Rieger, UNDP Ukraine Country Director, First Deputy Chairman of the State Service of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Serhiy Hluschenko, and FFU representative, a member of the UEFA Commission on Mass Football Yevhen Stolitenko.
