Ukrainian Red Cross providing humanitarian aid to residents of Kherson region affected by flooding due to explosion of Kakhovka HPP
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) has been providing humanitarian assistance to the residents of Kherson region affected by the flood since the first days of the ecological disaster caused by the undermining of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant (HPP) by the Russian occupiers.
More than 57,000 liters of drinking water, 5,135 hygiene kits, 4,141 grocery and 1,367 sleeping kits were delivered to the victims. URCS also provided blankets, mattresses, kitchen sets, dishes, baby food, pet food, chargers to those in need, the URCS reported on its official Facebook page.
In addition, 1,000 units of marking signs warning of mine danger have been delivered and installed.
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society has also established the work of mobile medical teams in Kherson region to provide the first aid.
Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society provided 500 citizens with first psychological aid.
URCS has also installed a water disinfection station.
