The attack on Vinnytsia reminds of the importance of providing Ukraine with air defense equipment, - Ambassador Korniychuk
The brutal rocket attack on a civilian object in Vinnytsia, which killed more than 20 people, reminds us of the importance of providing Ukraine with air defense means. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk, according to the Embassy's Facebook page.
«This brutal attack reminds us once again how important it is to provide Ukraine with such means of protection. If Ukraine had such systems as Iron Dome and Lightning (Barak air defense system - Ed.), during the attack this morning, many children's lives would have been saved», - he said.
At the same time, the ambassador emphasized that Vinnytsia is his hometown.
«Offices and residential buildings in the city of my childhood were attacked today. It is very sad and painful to see places where concerts and events for children were held - in a state of heavy destruction with dead and injured. But we will not surrender to the Russian invaders! Glory to Ukraine», - Yevhen Korniychuk emphasized.
