Israel will train Ukrainian psychologists - First Lady Mrs. Herzog

The State of Israel intends to conduct training programs and short-term trainings for Ukrainian psychologists. This was stated during a telephone conversation between the First Ladies of Ukraine and Israel Olena Zelenska and Michal Herzog, according to the Facebook page of the Embassy of Ukraine in Israel.

 

«First ladies of Ukraine and Israel continued substantive dialogue. During today’s phone conversation they discussed cooperation in assistance with urgent humanitarian needs for Ukrainians. Mrs. Herzog kindly agreed to provide Israeli assistance with training programs for Ukrainian psychologists. Specifically, the Israeli Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs has offered to hold 2 training projects for social workers in Ukraine», - the statement reads.

 

Additionally, Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center will be ready to hold short training sessions in Israel for Ukrainian psychologists.

 

«Also, first ladies discussed a range of additional social aspects, such as: needs for providing basic medical assistance to the Ukrainians that temporary reside in Israel, until the end of the war in Ukraine; integration of Ukrainian children into the education system in Israel, as well as options for providing scholarships from Israeli universities for Ukrainian students that have no access for continuing higher education due to the war actions», - the statement said.
