About Galyna Moskvitina:
Galyna Moskvitina is the most mysterious of modern artists. Having gained fame for the first time as a graphic artist and illustrator, she disappeared from the art scene, spending many years in Chinese monasteries and Indian ashrams, learning the ancient secrets of self-improvement. Her recent return to the art scene demonstrates the result of her hard work on achieving the synthesis of the spiritual knowledge of East and West and adapting them to the Western mind.
Galyna Moskvitina's paintings are called svetangs (from "light" and "anchor"), as they are anchors of light on Earth. In her new works, Moskvitina reflects the knowledge, insight, and inspiration she received in her years of absence from the arts scene.
"The voice of my paintings is far from épatage, which is popular in the art of nowadays. The language of my work is a soft breathing of the heart. It is an invitation to take part in the harmony of life, to the song of eternity in consonance with the tune, with love, happiness and the dance of the universe. In front of my svetangs the viewer can experience his own light," says the artist.
