LPG Ukraine 2011 International Conference to bring together participants from 17 countries

The second international conference on the development and functioning of the Ukrainian market of liquefied gas entitled "LPG Ukraine 2011" will be held in the Kyiv hotel in Kyiv on September 22-23. According to the organizers of the event - the A-95 Consulting Group and the Ukrainian Association of Liquefied Gas - as of September 13 some 110 people representing 93 companies and organizations from 17 countries had registered to participate in the conference. Most of the participants come from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Russia. The representatives of the following major operators on the Ukrainian liquefied gas market will take part in the conference: Nadiya, Autotrans, Propane-Trade, Poltava Petroleum Company, Galnaftogaz, WOG, Shell Retail Ukraine, Petro Carbo Chem Mukachevo, Parallel-M Ltd., Ukrgazenergo, as well as foreign guests from SIBUR (Russia), Belorusneft, ORLEN Lietuva, and many others. LPG Ukraine 2011 will be held with the official support of the European LPG Association (AEGPL), whose head, Alain de Greve, will participate in the forum and report on the possibilities of AEGPL's cooperating with organizations from the countries that are not EU members. An agreement on the accession of the union of Ukrainian liquefied gas market operators to the European association is to be signed on September 23. The overall program of speeches at LPG Ukraine 2011 will cover all important issues of the functioning of the Ukrainian market, the presentation of new marketing and technical solutions in the industry, and the experience of foreign countries in liquefied gas production, transportation and sales. "The role of liquefied gas as an efficient and environmentally friendly energy source in Ukraine continues to grow. At the same time, the number of problems and challenges that the young and immature LPG market is facing is growing. The main goal of the forum is to jointly find ways of overcoming the objective, as well as numerous man-made problems that appear in the way of this promising market," the director of the A-95 Consulting Group Sergey Kuyun said. Note: The first LPG Ukraine 2010 international conference was held in Kyiv in October 2010. It gathered about 150 participants from 11 countries.
