Automotive industry leaders to gather in Lviv on 31st October
Over 100 senior automotive executives from Ukraine, Europe and North America will gather on 31st October at the Leopolis Hall in Lviv for the Ukrainian Automotive Forum (http://strategy-council.com/en/events/1/), which is being organised by Strategy Council of the UK and UkrAutoprom, the Ukrainian Vehicle Manufacturers Association.
A key focus of the Forum will be on the major international automotive component manufacturers, who have been opening production facilities, primarily in western Ukraine, to serve their global OEM customers whose vehicle plants are located just over the border in the EU.
Key speakers at the Forum include:
- Senior national and regional government officials who will outline strategies to support investment in the Ukrainian automotive sector.
Regional leaders include: Oleg Sinyutka, Governor of Lviv region, Roman Matys, Head of Investment, Lviv Regional State Administration and Andriy Sadoviy, Mayor of the City of Lviv;
National officials include: Volodymyr Omelyan, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Daniel Bilak, Director, UkraineInvest and Viktor Halasyuk, Chairman, Committee for Industrial Policy & Entrepreneurship, Verkhovna Rada;
- Top executives of major component manufacturers with production facilities in Ukraine, including: Günther Ungericht of PRETTL Kabelkonfektion, Stephan Schmidt of Leoni Wiring Systems, Alexander Goetz of TE Connectivity, Laszlo Adorjani-Klosz of Gentherm Ukraine, Denys Gurak of Ukroboronprom and Oleh Bilobrovko of SE Bordnetze. In addition, Ukrainian-born Mariya Trickett, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Dana Inc, will address the crucial issue of hiring and retaining a suitably qualified workforce.
- Senior representatives of Ukraine’s leading vehicle manufacturers, who will outline their companies’ development strategies, such as Oleg Boyaryn, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Eurocar, Roman Chernyak, CEO of AvtoKrAZ and Mykhailo Reznik, President of UkrAutoprom.
