Ukrainian-Sri-Lankan Business Forum to be held in Kyiv on June 30
On June 30, 2010 the Ukrainian-Sri-Lankan Business Forum, with the participation of the Presidents of Ukraine and Sri Lanka, will take place in Kyiv at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Bolshaya Zhitomirskaya St., 33). Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and the President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa will participate in the Forum. The Ukrainian-Sri-Lankan Business Forum will focus upon cooperation and investment opportunities in the following areas: tourism, Ceylon tea, spices, gemstones, textiles and ceramics, rubber and plastics production, and other sectors. Special attention will be paid to investment opportunities in Sri Lanka, which offers unique conditions for foreign investors, giving them 100% tax exemption for the first 5-10 years. The forum also aims to present Sri Lankan products in Ukraine and provide Ukrainian companies with an opportunity to find a Sri Lankan business partner, as well as establish contacts with potential suppliers in Ukraine. The conference program includes not only traditional speeches and B2B conversations but also a new format of product presentation: Sri Lankan Tea Board will provide a Ceylon tea-tasting session.
