What kind of future lies ahead for accountants and auditors in Ukraine?

The Council of Independent Accountants and Auditors announces the holding of Ukraine's first International Integration in Accounting and Auditing International Conference, which will gather around 200 financial specialists on April, 23, 2010 at the Parus Business Center (2, Mechnykova Street, Kyiv). The program of conference consists of three practical sections: - The need to use IFRS in Ukraine as a way towards the eurointegration of the country. When, finally, will IFRS be implemented? Do all companies need IFRS? Who will become a member of working group on IFRS implementation? How was it done in other European countries? When will the profession of accountancy gain national recognition and respect? - Challenges and prospects for the Ukrainian educational system. What kind of challenges will be faced by accountants and auditors with regard to special education? What knowledge is it necessary to get already today, in order to get a better job tomorrow? - Setting up public audit oversight. What is the future of auditing in Ukraine? What exactly do national auditors need in order to gain global recognition? How exactly do auditors work in the EU countries? Who is a European auditor? What are the new challenges for the profession of auditor in the light of world financial crisis? Participants of the conference: - Representatives of the national professional community; - International experts in accounting and auditing from Germany, Croatia, Turkey, the European Union, who will present international experience on IFRS implementation and setting up an audit oversight body; - Representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committees, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the Ministry of the Economy of Ukraine, the State Commission on Financial Services Market Regulation of Ukraine, the Securities and Stock Market State Commission, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the State Agency of Ukraine on Investments and Innovations and other public institutions.
