Press-release of statement of the clergy and the faithful of UAOC-C concerning the large-scale campaign aimed at the annihilation of Patriarch Moses and God’s Church in the news agency “Interfax-Ukraine”
The large-scale campaign aimed at the annihilation of Patriarch Moses and the Gods' Church has spread in Ukraine today. It happens before all country. Consciously or unconsciously, but some sources of the mass media of Ukraine take active part in it. Several persons concerned count upon that in order to fabricate from the false testimonies the criminal case against the Patriarch and all Church to the accompaniment of slander promoted in the mass media by the fanciers of the dirty scandals. All these things are aimed to destroy Patriarch Moses. Patriarch many times predicted to people, who visited the spiritual lectures, that Ukraine should have wait for the very difficult times - the coming of viruses and growing of corrupt chaos. Today we are getting convinced of it. Thus we received the flu epidemic that already has its victims. From the filthy slander against Patriarch Moses they passed to the physical seizure in the manner of raiders of the buildings of Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical in Uzhgorod. That attack occurred about 4 p.m. Everything what families of Gulevatyi, Sukhorosova, Vinnichenko, Kyseliova and Nesterenko say is is untruth; it is lie, which was planned eight years ago, since God blessed Patriarch Moses to Ukraine. It is lie, created by the ecclesiastical orthodox spiritual leaders, who used to work since the Soviet times; they were working for Stalin system and stayed on their posts till now. They are not able to work for the good of independent country, which tries to follow the right spiritual way, to develop the legal Christian democracy. Only the new strong spiritual leader who, to our profound convictions, Patriarch Moses is, can lead people out of the spiritual chaos. Nobody in Ukraine is able to cope with this mission today. And the mass media is in the vanguard of this dirty campaign without examining the situation. It is completely clear: if this Gods' hand will be cut off, next time God won't give us another hand and won't give another such personality to Ukraine. People feel the sincere service of Patriarch Moses to God and Ukraine. The church has begun to grow and win the wide popularity. That fact had frightened the modern ecclesiastical leaders and certain circles of the state structures that having united had started the offensive from every quarter when they didn’t succeed in physical annihilating of Patriarch Moses as had been annihilated Georgiy Gongadze who had been trying to bring the truth to people in his reports. On the part of the corrupted state structures of the Service of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine started the dynamic activities aimed at the annihilation of Patriarch Moses and now having every reason to affirm at the example of the events in Uzhgorod, at the annihilation of all God’s Church. Everything started on October 5th, 2009, when Patriarch stayed alone at the Kyiv diocese building and noticed that something was occurring around the house. Patriarch heard the fragment of conversation: “…throw drugs and make a drug addict of him…” That was the initial script of reprisals over the holiest person. Patriarch Moses called the police, but they arrived only an hour later. Having talked with people surrounding the diocese building (among them was Gulevatyi Anatoliy Ivanovytch, the director of the distilling plant in village Tkhorivka, who last half a year posed as the devoted parishioner of UAOC-C) police left without interfering. Thanks to the priests coming on call of Patriarch, the pressure of attackers was rebuffed. Although two of them were still ambushed near the exit of the diocese territory in Mitsubishi Lancer AA 94-38 HT. In the morning, when Patriarch Moses returned to his apartment, this car followed him. Patriarch having entered his flat, the doorbell ringing and calls via house intercom with the demand to open the door to the representatives of the law-enforcement authorities began. The deacons, who stayed guarding near the door of Patriarch were detained and taken away in unknown direction. Patriarch Moses called the police and opened the door only then when was sure in seeing behind the door not only the attackers but the police unit summoned on his call. Then the reports were drawn up, the circumstances were found out and the declaration of attempt on his life from Patriarch Moses was taken. Meanwhile, near the building where the Patriarch’s flat is situated, the clergy and the faithful summoned having wishes to support their Patriarch and having hopes that the attackers wouldn’t dare violate justice in public. The policemen in private clothes, police unit and people in bullet-proof vests went upstairs to the Patriarch’s flat. Why this person, who teaches to love your land, language, God in your heart and strives for spreading the knowledge about God in Ukraine, bothers the ecclesiastical and state structures? Why they are afraid of people who are sincere in their belief? One can order and fabricate the most disgusting case against everyone in our country. In this place can find oneself each of us and it is very difficult to defend then your dignity, honor and right to freedom of conscience and belief in the corrupted state and law-enforcement structures. In addition, as for the Patriarch, it has been violated in the most disgraceful manner, the principle of presumption of innocence. Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church Canonical hasn’t been registered illegally in the territory of Ukraine for 8 years. Various kinds of lie, persecutions, this fabricated slander, the present situation with the scandal – that is the chain of one script. The script directed at the annihilation of Patriarch Moses and UAOC-C, both spiritually and physically – that is the official position of the church.
