Kirovograd to attract investors by constructing industrial parks
On September 27, 2012, Kirovograd plays host to the 2nd Investment Forum of the Region ELISAVETGRAD INVESTMENT DAY: industrial parks as an input point into a regional economy.
During the event the best Ukrainian and foreign practices in creation and activities of industrial parks will be considered, and cooperation mechanisms between the authorities and business in the implementation of such projects will be discussed, along with the prospects of Kirovograd region in industrial park activities on its territory.
According to the experts, the organization of industrial parks on the territory of Ukraine will assist the local authorities in raising the economic attractiveness of the regions, and investors will be able to decrease business costs by up to 40%. Ukraine now has all the conditions needed to create such parks, and the crucial point is the political will of the local authorities to develop this effective tool for attracting investments. The recently signed law “On industrial parks” should also help in this regard, as it determines the legal and organizational basis for the creation and functioning of industrial parks on the territory of Ukraine.
