PRESS RELEASE: Ukrainian-German Legal Day to be held on May 31 2012
Ukrainian-German Legal Day, initiated by the German-Ukrainian Union of Lawyers, will be held on May 31 2012 in Kyiv, Vozdvyzhensky Hotel (60 Vozdvyzhenska St.).

Scope:
- Discussing issues related to the rule of law in Ukraine such as the current state of judicial reform, trends and development of criminal procedural law, antitrust regulation and land reform;
- Identifying key areas, goals and opportunities for professional associations of lawyers to promote further development of the rule of law in Ukraine; and
- Finding consensus on improving the image of Ukraine by ensuring the development of independent, transparent and accountable judicial system and bringing fundamental laws into conformity with international and European standards.
Target Audience:
Lawyers, counsels and partners of law firms, in-house lawyers, members of boards of companies that develop business relations with Germany or Ukraine, Ukrainian and German business organizations, politicians and diplomats, and others.
