Ukraine and the Region: Joint Launch of the Humanitarian and Refugee Response Plans for 2025
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), in collaboration with the Government of Ukraine and humanitarian partners, will jointly launch the 2025 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan and the Regional Refugee Response Plan for Ukraine on 16 January in Kyiv.
These plans aim to ensure the continuation of critical assistance for people affected by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine - where over 12.7 million people require aid - and for the more than 6.8 million Ukrainian refugees worldwide.
Immediately before the official launch, journalists in Kyiv are invited to attend a press conference:

The launch event will follow at 15:00 EET (Kyiv) / 13:00 GMT and will also be livestreamed on UN WebTV.
Journalists will receive an embargoed press release and details of the response plans before the event.
