Palestinian ambassador to Ukraine committed to maintaining closer bilateral cooperation

Kyiv, March 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Palestinian Ambassador to Ukraine Mohammed Alasaad has stressed the need for an exchange of visits by high-ranking Ukrainian and Palestinian officials.

"We call for the acceleration of the exchange of visits between the two countries," he said at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency in Kyiv on Thursday.

The ambassador noted the "close relations" between Ukraine and Palestine and said that the parties were continuing to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

"We are working on the development of these relations through the conclusion of agreements and memoranda," he said.

Alasaad called for the strengthening of bilateral relations in the politics, economics, culture, and sports spheres. The ambassador also noted the important role in this cooperation being played by the Ukrainian and Palestinian diasporas.
