Eight members of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people stay outside Crimea - Jemilev
KYIV. July 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian parliamentarian Mustafa Jemilev, the Ukrainian president's commissioner for the Crimean Tatar people, has said that eight members of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people are outside Russian-occupied Crimea.
"Eight Mejlis members are now outside Crimea, here, in mainland Ukraine, some of them in Kyiv and some in Kherson region. The rest are in the territory of the occupied Crimea," he said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.
Jemilev specified that only 33 persons had been elected to the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
