Ukrainian Exchange cutting size of security deposits on futures market to 20%
Kyiv, September 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ukrainian Exchange (Kyiv) from September 15 is to cut the basic size of security deposits on the futures market from 25% to 20% for all types of futures, Ukrainian Exchange Head Oleh Tkachenko said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine in Kyiv on Wednesday.
"Volatility on the stock market is falling, and this allows us to cut the rate to make the futures market more interesting," he said.
As reported, Ukrainian Exchange launched trading on the futures market on May 27, 2010. Initially security deposits totaled 30% of liabilities and on June 29 they were cut to 25%.
A total of 27 traders are operating on the futures market today.
