NewsOne channel, Slovo i Dilo portal agree on cooperation

KYIV. June 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) - NewsOne TV Channel and the Slovo i Dilo online portal have agreed on cooperation which will result in a number of joint programs, the creative producer of the TV channel, Yevhenia Zakharova, said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine.

According to her, cooperation foresees broadcasting TV programs, which will show the promises of politicians and other public figures and analyze how politicians keep their promises.

"We will have the formats He Promised, and two sub-formats He Did and He Lied. We want to cover all the regions of Ukraine," she said.

One of the programs involves experts being invited to the studio and the main subject of the day will be discussed, with live hookup from different regions in Ukraine. In addition, TV Channel journalists will travel to different cities and cover the life of the regions in detail.

On the eve of local elections, debates will be held on the channel.

Asked whether the project will continue after the local elections, Zakharova noted that cooperation is planned on an ongoing basis.

Project chief editor Denys Zamriy noted that the project is financed at the expense of funds of the TV Channel and the Slovo i Dilo web portal.

"Essentially, this is a synergy of the Internet and television," he said.
