Committee for Open Democracy treats Ukraine parliamentary elections as pro-European
Kyiv, October 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A Committee for Open Democracy (United States) has called the parliamentary elections in Ukraine as pro-European ones.
"Ukrainian parliamentary elections 2014 that took place on October 26, despite the occupation of a part of Donbas and annexation of Crimea, are pro-democratic, pro-European elections," the committee representative Brian Mefford said at the press conference hosted by Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.
He said that the early elections took place in 198 of 225 election districts.
