Poll: Ukrainians view Poland, Russia as friendliest countries
Kyiv, October 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainians view Poland and Russia as the friendliest countries to Ukraine, according to a public opinion survey entitled "Five Facts about Ukrainians."
The study was conducted by IFAK Ukraine international research agency on October 1-10 and presented at a press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on Monday.
Twenty-six percent of respondents described Poland as the friendliest country for Ukraine, including 29% of respondents from western Ukraine and 23% from the country's east.
Only 17% of those polled said that Russia is among the countries that have positive feelings about Ukrainians, including 23% in the east and only 9% in the west.
Belarus is a friendly country for 8% of Ukrainians, Greece for 7%, and France and Georgia for 4% and 4% of respondents respectively. Some 31% of those polled were undecided.
A total of 1,500 respondents aged between 18 and 60 participated in the study. The poll's margin of error is 3.5%.
