170 yachtsmen to participate in WindMaster Regatta competitions at Kyiv Reservoir on September 11-15
Kyiv, September 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The ninth season of the WindMaster Regatta international sailing competitions, which will take place at the Kyiv Reservoir from September 11 to September 15, will bring together 170 yachtsmen, WindMaster Regatta Diretcor Yuriy Semeniuk has said.
"WindMaster Regatta is a regatta for athletes and for participants... The regatta's committee and interested people are holding it for the people. Any national teams won't be formed after the finish, and participation in world and European championships will not be guaranteed. It means that every team evaluates its forces at the regatta," he said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He said that yachtsmen from five countries, including Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Britain and possibly New Zealand, were expected to participate in the competitions.
