AK Engineering, Cherkasy Autochemistry Plant to be presented at road show in London

Kyiv, February 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Invest in Ukraine 2013 road show, which is to be held in London on February 21, 2013, will present an investment project of Kyiv-based AK Engineering LLC on the construction of affordable housing and a project of Cherkasy automobile chemistry plant LLC on production of bio-antifreezing agents, along with other projects presented at the road show.

The director of the capital market department of Pro Capital Group Investment Holding, Antonina Hapchenko, did not disclose the names of all the companies that will participate in the road show.

"At present, the information is confidential," she said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

She said that during an open tender eight projects presenting various economic sectors were selected.

"We’ve got many bids for the participation, but, unfortunately, few companies were able to answer how the funds will be raised and how the raised funds will be returned. Ukrainian business is not ready to openness and transparency," she said.

Hapchenko said that project on the construction of a woodworking integrated plant, a clinic for the rehabilitation of patients who have suffered strokes, a steel radiator plant, a medicine plant, a project on the irrigation of land in Kherson region and a project in the telecommunications sector will be presented to international investors.

"If investment is raised in the planned amount - $150 million, one can expect that the number of jobs in the country will increase: the smallest project foresees the creation of 100-200 new jobs, and the largest one – 290,000 jobs," she added.

CEO of Cherkasy Autochemistry Plant Ltd. Dmytro Bukhaltsov said that the company plans to raise around $12-15 million in investment.

Director General of AK Engineering Denys Artiukh said that the company wants to raise from $10 million to $30 million.

Director of Ukrainian Business Centre in London Vladyslava Bilotska said that this is a first road show oriented to the attraction of foreign investment in the segment of medium- and small-sized businesses of Ukraine.
