Ukraine could export 3 m tonnes of grain in November, says expert

Kyiv, November 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Grain exports from Ukraine in November could stay at quite a high level and reach almost 3 million tonnes, President of the Ukrainian Grain Association Volodymyr Klymenko has said.

"In October we exported more than 2.9 million tonnes of grain. I think that this month the figure will reach at least a record high. There should be about 3 million tonnes," he said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Friday.

According to Klymenko, at present wheat is being actively shipped under contracts signed previously.

At the same time, Head of the Business Projects Service at APK-Inform Rodion Rybchynsky said that now a gradual shift towards corn exports is being seen, due to there being expectations of restrictions on wheat exports from the country.
