CIS-EMO Mission to closely monitor home voting during election
Kyiv, October 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The CIS-EMO election observation mission intends to closely monitor home voting during the parliamentary election on October 28, 2012, taking into account the fact that it is becoming increasingly commonplace for Ukrainians to get sick.
"We have certain statistics for the previous election… we know how many people casted their votes at home and there is no epidemic. We addressed to the Health Ministry and they did not say that there are any epidemics in Ukraine. Of course, we'll pay close attention to this, as well as to everything, which is linked to voting outside polling stations," the director of the CIS-EMO observation mission for the parliamentary elections in Ukraine, Alexei Kochetkov, said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Saturday.
