Election campaign in Ukraine meets international standards, country's laws, say observers
Kyiv, October 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – An observation mission of the Central-European Group of Political Monitoring International Organization has said that the electoral process in the parliamentary elections in Ukraine meets international norms and standards and the country's legislation.
"Despite the fact that we have found some unsystematic violations of the electoral law, we can say with some confidence that the current election process takes place within the framework and in compliance with international norms and standards, and in line with the new laws of Ukraine," a U.S. political expert and lawyer, Lidia Lawson, said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Friday.
