Mobilochka starts selling household appliances, to occupy 3% of market by late 2013

The Mobilochka mobile communications chain, part of Mobile Synergy Group, in early October this year started the sale of household appliances on orders through terminals and plans to occupy up to 3% of the Ukrainian market of household appliance sales by the end of 2013.

"We have created a service "Goods to order from the warehouse." It provides the possibility of ordering any product from the category of household appliances and electronics in the Mobilochka store and receiving it in a few days, either at home or at the same store. We will focus on this direction next year. The goal we have assigned is to occupy 3% of the Ukrainian household appliances market by the end of 2013, and this is realistic," Director General of Mobile Synergy Group Anton Volodkin said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.

Volodkin reported that sales of household appliances from early October started in three regions of Ukraine, including Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk, where terminals have been installed in 100 stores. In the shops of other regions terminals will be installed in the next three months.

According to him, the cost of goods ordered through such terminals will be up to 30% lower than in electronics hypermarkets. The range of goods is 20,000 items.

He forecast that in December this year sales of household appliances will provide about 5-8% of the growth in the network's total sales.

"We will focus on smartphones, high-tech devices, we are starting rebranding to sell better. In addition, we are starting to trade in various household appliances through online channels, we are entering this market including both online and off-line audience," he summarized.
